New Appointment to the Board

We are thrilled to announce that Michael Hancock has been appointed to the Labour Relations Board for a four-year term, where he is anticipated to begin in the role of Associate Chair some time in the early fall. Michael is a partner at Harris & Company where he has worked for over twenty years in two separate stints. He has also worked as Legal Counsel for the BC Public School Employers’ Association and as General Counsel with ICBC. Michael brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Board, and we are excited for him to come aboard. 

We can also advise that after eight years of service, the current Associate Chair Andres Barker will be departing the Board some time this summer to pursue a mediation/arbitration practice. Andres has been a valuable and productive member of the Board during an unprecedented time of activity and we wish him all the best in his next chapter.
