The Board’s longtime Senior Staff Lawyer, Elena Miller, has retired after 27 years of dedicated service. Throughout her tenure, Elena provided thoughtful and pragmatic advice to panels of the Labour Relations Board and Employment Standards Tribunal, and ably represented both agencies on judicial review. Elena has always approached her role with integrity, with a deep and sophisticated legal knowledge, and with respect for those in the labour relations community. Her last day of work was April 30, 2024.

With Elena’s retirement, we are thrilled to announce that Jennifer O’Rourke has assumed the role of Senior Staff Lawyer. Jennifer has been advising and representing the Board and Tribunal for almost two decades. She brings an incredible amount of legal and institutional knowledge to the Senior Staff Lawyer position. Please join us in congratulating Jennifer on her new role.
